Anyone else get hooked on these wooden kits? I picked up the Vitascope Movie Projector and it came with all the little tools I needed, even though I did add my own wood glue for extra sturdiness. It took me about 5 hours to put together, but it was totally worth it.

The instructions were primarily visual, which worked well for the most part, though a couple of steps required a bit of deduction. The wood felt sturdy, and the laser cuts were precise. I did find that some of the smaller connector pieces were quite fragile, and I accidentally broke one, but thankfully they provide a few spares. Assembly took me roughly 5 hours spread over two evenings. Once completed, it looks really impressive on my shelf. It functions as described, rotating smoothly. A solid build, though be careful with those tiny tabs.

Good deal on a Rolife kit

I was looking for a fun project and found the Rolife Miniature Coffee Shop. Got it during a sale, which saved me a decent amount. Shipping was free because my order was over $65. It felt like a good value overall, definitely worth what I paid.

Fun little project

I picked up one of the DIY Miniature House kits, the Miniature Greenhouse. It looked cute online. It arrived pretty fast, about 5 days to reach me here in California. It shipped out fairly quickly, but then tracking updates were a bit slow for a few days once it left the warehouse. When it did arrive, the packaging was a bit dented, though the kit inside was fine. The quality of the wood pieces was good, and the instructions were clear. Just wish the shipping updates were more consistent.
